LVLHS track and field has strong showing at the city championship The boys team imporved their seed and finished 9th place in the 4x800 relay this weekend among all CPS teams in one of the most exciting finishes. Alex Bermudez held off his rival from Kennedy for the entire last leg of the race (2 laps) and beat him by 0.6 seconds.  The girls (Esmeralda Villegas and Yaneli Martinez) also had an exciting run and finished in 11th place overall.
